ADS-B 1090MHz Ceramic Filter LNA

This is a small filtered preamp designed to be fitted between the AirSpy and the 1090MHz ADS-B antenna. Using a low-loss ceramic bandpass filter and a low noise amplifier, it stops out of band signals while providing additional gain for increased sensitivity; this means that your ADS-B receive range can be dramitically improved. The LNA chip is before the SAW filter to minimise losses and retain the excellent low noise figure of the active device.

This LNA uses a MiniCircuits PSA4-5043+ which provides at least 16dB of gain @ 1090Mhz. To stop out of band interference, a 3-pole Ceramic bandpass filter is fitted. The ceramic filter has an insertion loss of approximately 1.5dB, which means the gain of the unit is at least 14.5dB with an overall noise figure of 0.75dB. Connectors are SMA female both sides. The LNA can be powered either via the micro-USB connector, or via phantom DC power which is fully compatible with the AirSpy R2 "Bias-Tee" option.

The unit is supplied in an aluminium case which is not waterproof and so should be mounted either in a weather-proof enclosure, or in your roof space as close to your ADS-B antenna as possible. This LNA will provide optimum performance for those that are looking for the best possible ADS-B receive setup.

This is a more cost effective filtered preamp designed to be fitted between the AirSpy and the 1090MHz ADS-B antenna. Using a SAW bandpass filter and a low noise amplifier, it reduces out of band signals while providing additional gain for increased sensitivity; this means that your ADS-B receive range can be improved. The LNA chip is before the SAW bandpass filter to minimise losses and retain the excellent low noise figure of the active device. If you have a local 900MHz cellular transmitter, the Ceramic Filter LNA would be a better choice due to its better filtering characteristics.

High Altitude Balloon 434MHz SAW Filter LNA

Using a SAW bandpass filter and a low noise amplifier, it reduces out of band signals while providing additional gain for increased sensitivity; this means that your HAB receive system can be improved. The LNA chip is before the SAW bandpass filter to minimise losses and retain the excellent low noise figure of the active device.
